THE TRUTH ABOUT LATEX BALLOONS
Yes, it’s true — latex balloons are made from the sap of the rubber tree. Latex is a natural and renewable raw material, harvested by tapping rubber trees in a way that allows the trees to continue to grow without harm.
Our latex balloons are made without fillers, extenders or plasticisers and are manufactured to meet the highest safety and quality standards.
However, while latex begins as a natural material, the process of transforming it into a durable, stretchy and colourful balloons means latex balloons should not be placed in household recycling bins or home composting.
While latex is biodegradable under the right environmental conditions, balloons take time to break down. We recommend popping your balloons and disposing of them in general waste.

We do not condone or knowingly provide balloons for balloon releases. We stand firmly against them.
Balloon releases are harmful to the environment and can pose a serious risk to wildlife. Once released, balloons and their debris can travel long distances, eventually ending up in waterways, coastal areas and the ocean. Marine animals and wildlife can mistake balloon pieces for food or become entangled in ribbons and attachments.
Balloon releases are also illegal in Queensland and should never be conducted.

ABOUT HELIUM
Balloon-grade helium is not the same as the high-purity helium used for medical applications. High-purity helium is essential for critical medical equipment, including MRI scanners, and suppliers prioritise this resource for healthcare needs.
Helium used for balloons is gaseous helium and is generally supplied separately from the high-purity helium used in medical applications. Balloon-grade helium is suitable for inflating balloons but is not suitable for medical use.

Inhaling helium can be extremely dangerous and may be fatal. Breathing helium displaces oxygen in the lungs, which can result in oxygen deprivation, dizziness, loss of consciousness, brain injury or death.
